Jannat 2 is a upcoming Bollywood crime thriller film and a sequel to the 2008 hit film, Jannat. The film is directed by Kunal Deshmukh, and produced by Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt. It features Emraan Hashmi, Randeep Hooda, Imran Zahid and Esha Gupta in lead roles. The storyline is based on the issue of illegal arms in Delhi.The first look unveiled on 15th March 2012, whilst the film is to hit theatres on 4 May, 2012.

Production

Many actresses such as Prachi Desai, Esha Gupta, Kangna Ranaut and others were reported to be assigned as the female lead of the film.However, Gupta was chosen amongst the others. In October 2011, the film began shooting in the lines of Delhi Airport Metro Express.The film wrapped up its shooting on 17 January, 2012.

Title issue

The film was earlier titled Informer and Blood Money and was not expected to be a sequel to Jannat, however the feedback was negative, and hence the title was changed.

Music

The music is composed by Pritam Chakraborty, and is released along with the release of movie Blood Money.The Tracklist comprises of 9 tracks with singers like Shafqat Amanat Ali,Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, KK ,Mohit Chauhan,Javed Ali have lent their voices for the album. The lyrics for each song are penned by Sayeed Quadri. The soundtrack has been getting positive reviews from critics
